In order to improve the performance of cooperative communication systems, we conducted a simulation analysis of single/relay cooperative communication using various combining methods, including MRC, Best-SC, EGC, GSC, Nth SC, and up to 9 different methods. The analysis focused on the system performance and included a comprehensive evaluation of the effectiveness of each method. Our findings demonstrate that by carefully selecting the appropriate combining method, the performance of cooperative communication systems can be significantly improved.
