Wind Generator Using Induction Machine and Control by Fuzzy Logic
Wind energy is one of the most promising renewable energy sources, and induction machines are commonly used in wind generators due to their robustness and cost-effectiveness. These machines can efficiently convert wind energy into electrical power. However, controlling the generator's performance under varying wind speeds is a challenge.
To address this, fuzzy logic control is often employed. Unlike traditional control methods that rely on precise mathematical models, fuzzy logic uses linguistic rules to make decisions based on approximate reasoning. This makes it highly effective in dealing with uncertainties in wind speed and load variations.
The fuzzy logic controller adjusts the generator's parameters, such as torque and speed, to maximize energy extraction while maintaining stability. It processes input variables like wind speed and rotor speed, applies predefined fuzzy rules, and outputs control signals to optimize performance.
This combination of induction machines and fuzzy logic control enhances efficiency, improves adaptability, and ensures reliable operation in fluctuating wind conditions, making it a preferred choice in modern wind energy systems.
