In this text, we discuss the process of obtaining the CDF plots of PAPR from an OFDM BPSK transmission specified per IEEE 802.11a specification. According to the IEEE 802.11a specifications, we have used 52 subcarriers for this analysis. Although the theoretical maximum expected PAPR is 52 (around 17dB), the use of scrambler makes it unlikely for all the subcarriers in an OFDM symbol to be equally modulated.
To obtain the cumulative distribution of PAPR from each OFDM symbol, which is modulated by a random BPSK signal, we have used a small script. This script enables us to analyze the PAPR from each OFDM symbol and plot them accordingly. The resulting CDF plots provide us with insights into the distribution of PAPR and their probabilities.
In conclusion, the process of obtaining the CDF plots of PAPR from an OFDM BPSK transmission specified per IEEE 802.11a specification is crucial for analyzing the performance of wireless communication systems. By using a small script and analyzing the subcarriers, we can obtain valuable data that helps us understand the distribution of PAPR and their probabilities.
